Urban Mobility Days - Urban Mobility und 5G Challenges

In July 2018, the City of Munich provides a beautiful innovation space in the mobility hub Münchner Freiheit to be used by the regions Amsterdam and Utrecht. The CTO smart mobility team of the City of Amsterdam will organize an Urban Mobility workshop. 


This workshop is intended for SME’s, big enterprises, start-ups, governments, universities and institutions that are located in the metropolitan area Amsterdam/Utrecht and the metropolitan area Munich. It is designed to stimulate interaction between the parties, to identify the common challenges and identify knowledge and business opportunities.


The workshop consists of a morning part and an afternoon part, the themes will be:

  • The intelligent application of data (such as internet of things);
  • Smart vehicle technology (such as automated vehicles);
  • Smart concepts for individual and integrated approaches to mobility (such as MaaS);
  • Smart implementation of physical and digital infrastructure (such as telecommunication networks and digital payment systems);
  • Clean technologies (such as electric and zero emission vehicles).

Program 19 July

09:00 hrs    Innovation tour (e.g. by bicycle) in Munich. Mixed groups receive a tour by local experts to see the urban mobility innovations in Muncih


13:30 hrs    Start Noah Circular Car and Solar Car showcase by TU/ecomotive (programmed by the Dutch General Consulate) Presentations Urban Mobility Amsterdam/Utrecht & München

16:00 hrs    Networking and drinks


Venue: Münchner Freiheit 7, München (downstairs, next to biomarket)



Businesses, Knowledge Institutes and Government Parties are invited to participate in this program.


You can participate in one or two days. There are just limited places available, especially for the bike tour. Please let us know which parts of the program you would like to participate in.


Costs: Free entrance to the event (travel expense will not be covered)
